Local Jew Destroys Joke, Jesus
posted by: Matt Proch-Wilson

Yesterday, local HFF creator Evan Monsky unambiguously erred while delivering the punch-line of an oft-told joke and then devoured a legal-size rendering of the Christian savior Jesus Christ, sources say.

“One minute, [Monsky] was rambling on about how many Jews it took to screw in a lightbulb,” says Conan Skyrme, a close friend of the accused. “The next thing I knew, he had stuffed a wad of paper in his mouth and was growling like a bear. I didn’t think much of it until I noticed that he had drawn a picture of [the crucified prophet Jesus] Christ on the paper before putting it in his mouth.”

“I don’t even think that that paper was clean,” added Skyrme.

While Monsky has been known for the “in-your-face” style of comedy made famous by Richard Pryor, some say the young man “has gone too far this time”.

“It was embarrassing to watch…I mean, I’d be upset if that was my son feasting on Christ’s wounds on the local cable-access channel,” said one source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. It was later revealed that the source was Monsky’s own mother, Ruth Monsky.

“The growling was what really got the phones ringing,” said Matthew Proch-Wilson, who was sitting beside Monsky on set when the incident occurred. “I mean, who eats a picture of Jesus? I mean, who does that?”

Sources close to Hooray for Funn! say that the future of the foursome is in jeopardy unless Monsky cleans up his act. According to close friends, Monsky has been given a “shape up or ship out” ultimatum.

“I know he was trying to be facetious, but only because he told me that afterwards,” said Monsky’s best friend, Nathan Laver. “For a while there, he was really scaring me. The barking got really intense at one point, and his face was bright red. Come to think of it, he looked surprisingly like the devil.”

“I don’t even want to think of the implications this is going to have on his reincarnation,” added Laver.

Studies link perennial Jewish frustration with the popular time of year known as Christmastime, which is the annual celebration of Jesus’ birth and is widely regarded as the favorite holiday of his followers. Support for the Jewish movement to develop a second, rival, holiday called “Torah Day” has waned in recent years.
